How old is it ? How many years will it last? How much is a new one? Can I add A/C to the burner?
Heating systems will last upwards of 20 to 25 years if they have been maintained properly. Forced hot water systems have a tendency to last a little longer but they are more complicated and have a lot more moving parts.
We can usually tell by the color of the housing of the system how old the system is and what kind of condition it is in.
It’s an important investment but not a FOREVER investment.
